I am doing my PhD in Prof. Ralf Sommer's lab (lab page : http://www.eb.tuebingen.mpg.de/departments/4-evolutionary-biology)
I use the model nematode Pristionchus pacificus to study questions in evolution and development by comparing it to the more famous nematode model C. elegans.
I use genetics, genomics and bioinformatic techniques to compare homologous developmental processes in the two species. e.g. I am developing a microarray based gene expression profiling platform for Pristionchus pacificus, and using it to compare its expression profiles with that of C. elegans under various developmental and ecological contexts.
